News : Strand - Helping Continue 'Business As Usual'

Strand staff have risen to the challenge of the recent severe weather in the South, making considerable personal effort to ensure services can be delivered to clients. The company prides itself on its people and, over the last few weeks its teams have demonstrated their flexibility and reliability in ‘getting the job done’.

For Strand’s prestigious clients, it is vital that they have confidence in Strand to ensure that top quality facilities services continue unhindered, leaving them free to concentrate on their core activities.

Just a few examples of ‘going the extra mile’ to support our clients in the snow and poor weather conditions are:

Xafinity Ltd – our Crawley based client commented that Peter Chapman helped clear their car park over two days in sub-zero temperatures – always with a smile

JPMC in Bournemouth – the strand team drove round the campus using a tail lift vehicle, clearing roads and spreading grit when the usual contractor was unable to complete this job

British Gas in Reading – James Glade and other team members attended following the closure of the site to manually clear footpaths and pedestrian approaches of snow and ice.

A special mention has been requested for Strand account manager at Reading British Gas: Derek Milton stopped over one night in the week before Christmas to cook for stranded staff when the catering team had to leave early.

Strand’s teams of highly trained staff and dedicated account managers aim to work closely with customers and in true partnership with them to deliver a bespoke and flexible service.
